FC Cincinnati 2 have signed midfielders Yair Ramos and Yeiner Valoyes to MLS NEXT Pro contracts ahead of the 2024 season, the club announced today. Per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Ramos, 18, joins Cincinnati from Liga FUTVE side Caracas Fútbol Club, one of Venezuela’s most successful domestic league clubs. Ramos began his career with the Caracas Youth team before featuring for the U20s in the Conmebol Copa Libertadores in 2022 and 2023.
The midfielder made eight appearances in the competition playing 506 minutes over two years, highlighted by a start in a semifinal match against CA Peñarol in 2022. Ramos has also been called into a number of Venezuelan National Team camps at the U15, U20 and senior team levels.
Valoyes, 18, will head to the Queen City after playing for Sócrates Valencia FC, a youth development club based in Pereira, Colombia.
Ramos and Valoyes join Alejandro Guido as new additions to the FC Cincinnati 2 roster for the 2024 season.
