The fourth and final regional pub bracket in the Microsoft-powered 2018 FC Cincinnati FIFA Tournament took place at Molly Malone's in Covington on Sunday.
With the previous three brackets already decided at Bucket Heads, Rhinehaus and Second Place Bar during the last two months, 54 players convened at the long-time soccer-friendly watering hole to settle who would become the fourth city-wide semifinalist. And at the end of the day, Kit Katz by Alexander Katz that took the top spot and advanced to the upcoming semifinal round!
Alexander will join Peter Elliot, Michael Dellon and Grant Ingham in the final four of the competition to be held at the Microsoft Store at Kenwood Towne Centre at 6 p.m., on Tuesday, July 10.
The semifinalists will compete in a round-robin bracket, with draws being settled by classic extra time and penalties if needed. Winners will get 3 points, losers get 0, and 1 point will be awarded to those who fall on penalties. The top two teams in the table will progress to the championship match, which will be held at a special location and time to be announced.
The ultimate champion of the FCC FIFA Tournament will win four (4) pregame field passes and four (4) tickets to the President’s Suite to a future FCC match.
