After a resounding win at Nippert the night before for the Orange & Blue, FC Cincinnati supporters were back out in force again on Sunday, May 20th, to participate in the second regional pub bracket in the 2018 FC Cincinnati FIFA Tournament, powered by Microsoft.
A full bracket of sixty-four players signed up to play in the city-wide tournament's stop at Over-the-Rhine's favorite neighborhood soccer/sports bar, Rhinehaus.
The lone individual left undefeated would then meet up with the four other regional pub winners -- from the already played bracket at Bucket Heads (West Side) and the upcoming May 28th brackets at Second Place (North Side) and June 17th at Molly Malone's (Covington) -- in semifinal round at the Microsoft Store at the Kenwood Towne Center later this summer. The winner of those semifinals will then proceed to a championship match at a special location to decide who will be crowned the champion of EA Sports FIFA 2018 of Cincinnati and take home prizes including field passes, suite tickets, and a yet-to-be-released FCC Fan Appreciation scarf.
So who took the Rhinehaus crown?
Despite a highly competitive field, Michael Dellon's The D.J. Dreidels emerged as Rhinehaus regional pub champion and will be joining BucketHeads champion Peter Elliott's Scotts Tots in the semifinals at the Microsoft Store at Kenwood!
Registrations remain open for the remaining two regional pub brackets can be found on our website. To register and read the rules, head here.
