Though FC Cincinnati play at home on Saturday against Ottawa, many supporters in the Queen City are already looking ahead to the club's away match the week after at Nashville SC on Saturday, July 7.
It will be the first of three regular-season meetings between the clubs this year before the clubs reconvene in MLS in 2020 when Nashville join the Orange and Blue in the nation’s premier league. Their match against FCC will also be Nashville’s second match at Nissan Stadium after the club welcomed 18,992 to their home opener in March. Nashville is anticipating another large crowd on July 7, and fans can stick around for a post-match fireworks display.
Much like when FCC traveled with numbers to the Indy Eleven match back in March, a sizable contingent of supporters is expected to make the journey south to support the Orange and Blue. Nashville has reserved a sizable area for visiting supporters in Section 102 and expanding to 103 and 104 if necessary. Tickets in the away section are $20 each, plus fees and taxes of $13.40 per ticket. Though purchased tickets for those sections will have specific rows and seats, the entire away section will be treated as general admission.
To obtain tickets, follow these easy steps.
1. Visit the Nashville SC Ticketmaster portal.
2. Click "See Tickets" to access the "Visiting Team Offer".
3. Select tickets from the stadium map or from the list on the right.
4. Complete purchase.
Once purchased, tickets will only be accessible on mobile via the Ticketmaster app or browser. No hard tickets will be printed or mailed, nor can tickets be left at Will Call.
Supporters making the trip down should also be advised to follow Nashville's Code of Conduct while attending the match on July 7. Additionally, Nashville provided the following information to help guide supporters of the Orange & Blue through their visit to Nashville:
VISITING CODE OF CONDUCT PARKING, TAILGATING & GATE OF ENTRYMAPS & DOWNLOADS
While the above Code of Conduct should be a guide for all visitors to Nashville SC matches, the hosts have also outlined further information for visiting supporters. You can download the full Visiting Recognized Supporters Group Code of Conduct and Exempted Items List (see page 8), here are a few highlights:
All banners, flags and drums desired to be used by visiting supporters during the match at Nissan Stadium must be presented for inspection and screening by security at 4:30 p.m. Central to Media Gate located on the West Side of the Stadium. Any of the above items brought after that time will not be allowed to enter the stadium. Items passing inspection will be taken directly to the visiting supporter section.
UPDATED 7/3: While visiting fans are permitted to Nissan Stadium in the lead up to the match, they must do so without the inspected drums and flags mentioned above. No organized march should occur inside the concourse of Nissan Stadium to the section.
While carried drums are allowed, no other instruments, bullhorns, megaphones, horns, whistles or vuvuzelas are permitted.
Flags and banners must not exceed 3' x 5' in size and may not be affixed to poles of any kind. Flags and banners must not be attached or secured to the surrounding facility by any means. Nashville SC retain final say on all permitted flags and banners.
No tifo or choreographed displays are permitted.
No streamers, confetti and the like, whether thrown toward or away from the field or within the stands.
Per USL policy, smoke is not permitted to be used by visiting supporters at any time.
For the safety of all, visiting supporters will be held in their section for 10-15 minutes following the conclusion of the match to allow for a majority of the home crowd to exit.
As a reminder, Nashville is located in the Central Time Zone and is an hour behind Cincinnati. So while kickoff is appropriately listed as 8:30 p.m. on FC Cincinnati’s website (as we are in the Eastern Time Zone), fans making the trip should remember the match will kick off at 7:30 p.m. local time in Music City.
