Untoldtruth_666: Does the loan for Mr. Locadia carry over when the season restarts or does it still end in June?
Jürgen Locadia’s loan deal was agreed to end July 5. As of now, nothing’s changed, but I think the three parties – FCC, Locadia and Brighton Hove & Albion – have been discussing the situation.
Brighton and Cincinnati are both in the midst of discussions about their leagues returning. Once that’s set, I think teams will talk transfer business again.
Ian: My kids (2yo) love Gary content. Where can we see more of you during this hiatus?
Gary’s been hibernating a little on Twitter, but we’ll see more of the feline soon! That said, here’s a link to color Gary, design a new team scarf or jersey!
Multiple people asked – and have asked – about the construction cameras. You have an answer(!).
Once the state is fully reopened, FCC can get workers in there to fix the connection issue and get the cameras back up and working. What we’ve been told is to expect them back up in early June.
Judi: Who do the youth academy teams play against? How do they make the team?
The FCC Academy used to play in the U.S. Development Academy, but with that terminated, the Orange and Blue will now play in MLS’ new elite player development platform. While a lot of opponents are other MLS academy teams, there are also other elite academies across the country.
As the Academy continues to grow, we’ll also start seeing the Academy play international matches beyond Canada. Imagine FCC playing in a European youth tournament – that’s the future.
As for making the team, the club has an FAQ sheet with more info.
