FC Cincinnati announced roster decisions for players on the 2021 squad today. There are 17 players already under contract with the club through 2022, and the club exercised one club option on defender Zico Bailey. FC Cincinnati declined the contract options of nine players, and three more saw their contracts expire.
Additionally, FC Cincinnati have triggered the buy option in Gustavo Vallecilla’s contract, adding him to the 2022 roster.

Players with guaranteed contracts (already under contract) in 2022 (17): Luciano Acosta, Isaac Atanga, Álvaro Barreal, Tyler Blackett, Brenner, Geoff Cameron, Allan Cruz, Calvin Harris, Yuya Kubo, Ronald Matarrita, Ben Mines, Kamohelo Mokotjo, Arquimides “Quimi” Ordonez, Kyle Scott, Beckham Sunderland, Brandon Vazquez, Kenneth Vermeer.
2022 contract options exercised (2): Zico Bailey, Gustavo Vallecilla
2022 contract options declined (9): Edgar Castillo, Chris Duvall, Jonas Fjeldberg, Avionne Flanagan, Joseph-Claude Gyau, Nick Hagglund, Ben Lundt, Caleb Stanko, Przemyslaw Tytoń.
Out of contract (3): Haris Medunjanin, Florian Valot, Maikel van der Werff.
