FC Cincinnati loan midfielder Marco Angulo to LDU Quito

FC Cincinnati have loaned midfielder Marco Angulo to Liga Deportiva Universitaria Quito through December 31, 2024, with an option to buy, the club announced today. The loan opens up a U22 Initiative spot on the roster. The 21-year-old from Esmeraldas, Ecuador will return to the Ecuadorian Liga Pro, where he spent the first three seasons of his professional career in the league with Independiente de Valle. 

FC Cincinnati acquired Angulo from Independiente of the Liga Pro in December 2022. In FC Cincinnati’s 2023 Supporters’ Shield-winning campaign, Angulo made 24 regular season appearances – nine starts – and recorded two assists. He also made two substitute appearances in the MLS Cup Playoffs and made seven appearances in Leagues Cup and U.S. Open Cup competition, where he netted one Open Cup assist.
