Unprecedented Demand Closes 2018 FC Cincinnati Season Ticket Sales
CINCINNATI – FC Cincinnati Season Ticket Memberships for the 2018 season have officially sold out 10 days before the original end-of-sales date of June 30.
After the announcement in late May of the club’s move to Major League Soccer in 2019, prorated season tickets were to be made available through June 30.
Extraordinary demand for 2018 FCC season tickets – coupled with the unprecedented number of single-game and group tickets sold for the remainder of the campaign – has led to the exhaustion of the club’s available season-ticket inventory for this season.
“We initially started the year with a goal of having 15,000 season tickets memberships, which we sold in days. We pushed our next goal to 20,000 but with strong single-game and group sales, we’ve sold out of our available inventory at 18,000 season tickets, leading us to now close sales,” Vice President of Ticket Sales Jeff Smith said. “The record number of fans who decided to ‘Join the March’ – committing to experiencing our games this season – has cut into what we originally allotted for season tickets. Having so many more fans joining us at Nippert Stadium on a per-game or group basis is really a great testament to the FCC support throughout the Greater Cincinnati region.
“While we have championship aspirations for 2018, we’re looking forward to 2019 and the opportunity to welcome even more Season Ticket Members to our family as we play our historic first season in MLS,” Smith continued.
Starting July 2, new deposits will be taken for the 2019 season. A payment of $50 per ticket will reserve fans’ place in the club’s priority line behind current season ticket members to select seats at Nippert Stadium for next year’s inaugural MLS campaign. Current Season Ticket Members will not need to make deposits on 2019 season tickets, and instead will be contacted later this summer about the 2019 renewal process and timeline.
Single-game and group tickets are still available for the 2018 USL season, as well as for the international friendly on July 28 against RCD Espanyol. Club representatives can assist fans with ticketing options for the team’s remaining home games at Nippert Stadium.
