CINCINNATI – FC Cincinnati will celebrate the club’s third birthday on Sunday, August 12, with a bang: Season Ticket Members will be able to secure their seats for the team’s eagerly awaited fourth season in which it will debut in Major League Soccer.
Three years to the day – August 12, 2015 – after the club announced its founding, FCC will celebrate its upcoming entry into MLS by starting the anticipated season ticket renewal process for its 18,000-plus season tickets.
Already with more than 1,000 new season ticket accounts opened for 2019 – which is anticipated to represent several thousand actual season tickets as accounts average multiple tickets – the Orange and Blue is set to welcome back its nationally recognized fan base for 2019.
Current Season Ticket Members will receive an email on Sunday morning around 11 a.m. with full details about the renewal process. This year’s condensed renewal timeline will run from Aug. 12 through Sept. 5, the shortest timeline so far.
Fans are encouraged to renew early to ensure they retain their current ticket priority, are able to get in line for any potential seat upgrades or add seats to their account.
As an added incentive, in the first week of renewals, all season ticket members who renew in full, start a 10-month payment plan or who initiate their renewals by opting in to the seat improvement process will receive a special invitation to the club’s special “Early Birth” event later this fall.
As renewal information goes out Sunday, the FCC Ticket staff will be available for questions or assistance in the club’s downtown offices (14 East Fourth St.) and via the phone at 513-977-KICK (5425) from 10 a.m. through 3 p.m. On Sunday, fans who want personal one-on-one assistance are encouraged to call the office before coming in to ensure timely support.
Later on Sunday, staff will also be available at Nippert Stadium for the club’s match against Penn FC. Fans will have the opportunity to securely renew their seats in person with FCC Ticket staff both outside the Nippert Stadium box office, as well as in the Club at the game.
Unable to renew in person on Sunday? The FC Cincinnati ticket staff will be available during normal business hours (8 a.m. through 5 p.m.), Monday through Friday. The staff will also be set up and ready to process renewals at the following game – Saturday, Aug. 18 vs. Charleston Battery – as well.
Following the three-plus week renewals window that ends on Wednesday, Sept. 5, all unrenewed accounts will have their seats dropped. The seat selection process will start on Monday, Sept. 10, and will be scheduled by ticket priority.
This season, FC Cincinnati is averaging 25,110 fans per game at Nippert Stadium – the most in the USL. The club’s average also represents the fourth-highest per-game mark in the U.S. and Canadian professional soccer, behind Atlanta United FC (51,291), Seattle Sounds FC (40,592,) and Toronto FC (26,591), all of MLS.
FC Cincinnati (13-3-6, 45 pts.) currently sits atop the USL standings with the top point total in the entire league. The team returns to action on Sunday, August 12, when it hosts Penn FC at 6 p.m. at Nippert Stadium. The game will be the team’s annual “White Out” game, and it will be televised on CW Cincinnati, streamed on ESPN+ and carried on the radio by ESPN 1530 AM.
