CINCINNATI, OH --- FC Cincinnati and Christian Moerlein Lager House will host a launch party for the limited-edition FCC Imperial Blood Orange IPA on Nov. 17 from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. at the Malt House Tap Room, located at 1621 Moore St. The event is open to the general public and will be attended by Moerlein Brewing Company CEO, Greg Hardman, and FCC President and General Manager, Jeff Berding as well as FCC players and front office staff.

“We are looking forward to the unveiling of the FCC Imperial Blood Orange IPA with the Moerlein Lager House next month,” said Jeff Berding, the club’s President and General Manager. “The original FCC Blood Orange IPA was such a success and Moerlein is a trusted leader in the beer industry with their storied history of producing quality beer. It will be a great addition to the festivities of the holidays.”

The 22-oz. bottle is described as having a “robust and complex take” on the original FCC Blood Orange IPA. The 8.5% Imperial Blood Orange IPA includes hints of lemon and robust amounts of citra and cascade hops and offers consumers a complex yet beloved Imperial Blood Orange IPA.

“The Moerlein FCC Imperial Blood Orange IPA in a limited edition 22 oz. bottle is an intense and robust version of the Blood Orange IPA released earlier this year by the brewers at Christian Moerlein Brewing Co.,” said Greg Hardman, CEO of the brewery. “The Imperial Blood Orange IPA offers FC fans a unique Imperial IPA to celebrate with during the off season.”

The FCC Imperial Blood Orange IPA will be available for purchase for $9.99 per bottle and will be sold at specialty beer outlets following the launch.

Also as part of the event, FCC will host a canned food drive to benefit those in need and will be held to support the Freestore Foodbank. All fans who bring a canned food item to the launch party will be invited to enter their business card to win a copy of the FC Cincinnati commemorative book Rise Together: Celebrating FC Cincinnati’s Inaugural Season.

"Hunger affects people you see every day," said Kurt Reiber, Freestore Foodbank President and CEO. "An unexpected illness, injury, car repair or life change can put a self-sufficient person at risk of hunger. We truly appreciate the continued support of FC Cincinnati as we work to serve our neighbors in the community. We are grateful for this partnership as we work together to solve hunger."

The book is due out in 2017 and will retail at $39.95. Pre-orders for the book are currently being accepted for $24.95 though the website at fccincinnati.com.
