CINCINNATI – Ahead of the start of the 2019 MLS Combine in Orlando, FC Cincinnati expanded its coaching and team staffs.
Pa-Modou Kah, who came to FC Cincinnati in August as a scout, has joined Alan Koch’s coaching staff as an assistant coach.
Kah originally joined the Orange and Blue from Vancouver Whitecaps FC, where he was most recently an assistant coach with the club’s MLS team and was the head coach of its Under-18 squad in 2018. In Vancouver, Koch and Kah were colleagues with Whitecaps 2, Vancouver’s then USL entry. Koch served as the squad’s head coach among his duties with Vancouver, while Kah was a player-coach in 2016 before becoming a staff coach for the club’s technical staff.
Kah joins current assistant coach Yoann Damet and goalkeeper coach Jack Stern on Koch’s staff.
“We’re thrilled to add Pa to our coaching staff,” Koch said. “During his time here as a scout, he’s provided us a tremendous eye in helping us shape our inaugural MLS team. Now joining us on the pitch, he has an innate ability to build great relationships and trust with those around him. “I’m very excited to get to work with him again as a coach.”

Additionally, FC Cincinnati has expanded the team’s operations and medical staffs.
Satoshi Tatsumi has joined the operations staff as the club’s Team Administrator. He comes to Cincinnati from the Portland Timbers organization where he oversaw Timbers 2 team operations for four years and supported the club’s first-team administrator. He reports to Vice President of Operations, Dan McNally.
Andrew Kolb has been hired as another first-team Equipment Manager and will work alongside Teddy Kerr. Kolb came to FCC from the University of Cincinnati, where he spent three seasons as an assistant equipment manager while also working extensively with U.S. Soccer’s youth national teams. Kolb has also supported FC Cincinnati’s game day operations efforts at Nippert Stadium the last three years. He also reports to McNally.
Additionally, Marshall Stoddard has joined the FC Cincinnati athletic training staff as an assistant athletic trainer. He comes to Cincinnati from Real Monarchs – the USL Championship club of MLS side Real Salt Lake – where he spent the last four seasons. He previously worked with the RSL Academy, Vancouver Whitecaps FC and Weber State University. He reports to head athletic trainer and Director of Sports Medicine Aaron Powell, and will also travel with the first team on occasion.
The next time Cincinnati takes the field, it will be as MLS’ 24th team in 2019 when the club debuts in the top professional league in the U.S. and Canada.
FC Cincinnati’s debut MLS game will be at Seattle Sounders FC on Saturday, March 2, at CenturyLink Field. The Orange and Blue will make its home debut as an MLS team at Nippert Stadium on Sunday, March 17, when the team hosts MLS Cup finalist Portland Timers at 5 p.m. Tickets to that game are currently exclusively available only through 2019 Season Tickets Memberships, which start at $199 and are now on sale at fccincinnati.com/tickets.
