CINCINNATI – As Cincinnati watches the 2018 FIFA World Cup in rapt attention with the rest of the world, the region will have the opportunity to get in on the action with FC Cincinnati during upcoming watch parties in the city.

FCC club ambassador Omar Cummings will lead soccer programming on three straight Saturdays during the The Banks’ official watch parties:

Saturday, June 30, noon to 1 p.m.
Saturday, July 7, noon to 1 p.m.
Saturday, July 14, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
On Sunday, July 15, in partnership with 3CDC, FC Cincinnati will be part of the city’s official watch party at Fountain Square for the 2018 FIFA World Cup Championship Game. In a special halftime event, the two finalists from FCC’s FIFA Tournament will battle at halftime on the video board overlooking Fountain Square.

Additionally, FCC and club craft beer partner MadTree will stage more watch parties throughout the region during the tournament. Stay tuned to fccincinnati.com and the club’s social channels for more information.

Cincinnati is among the 23 cities vying to be a host city for the recently awarded 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be hosted by a historic partnership among the United States, Mexico and Canada. FIFA will determine which of the cities will end up hosting FIFA World Cup games at that expanded 48-team tournament in the next 12-24 months. Paul Brown Stadium would be the host venue if Cincinnati is chosen to host games.
