CINCINNATI, OH --- Three-time Gold Medalist, Heather Mitts, will write the foreword for FC Cincinnati’s commemorative book, Rise Together: Celebrating FC Cincinnati’s Inaugural Season.
“We are excited that Heather will be writing the foreword for the FCC Commemorative Book,” said Jeff Berding, President and General Manager. “She is a tremendous ambassador for the sport and also for the Queen City. We appreciate her willingness to lend her words to the commemorative book that celebrates a fantastic inaugural year.”
Rise Together is currently available for pre-order for $24.95 though fccincinnati.com/book for $15 off the cover price.
The limited-edition, 144-page hardcover book will include vibrant photos of the club’s first season as well as in-depth interviews with Jeff Berding, John Harkes and several FCC players. Also included will be a section saluting FCC’s supporters and their role in shaping the electric game-day experience at Nippert Stadium.
A 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup participant and native of Cincinnati, Mitts has served as a broadcaster with Fox Sports and most recently provided coverage on the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Mitts attended FCC’s match at Nippert Stadium against Toronto FC II in June, posing for pictures with the winners of club’s “Best Soccer Dad” essay contest.
