Interim Head Coach Yoann Damet made two changes to FC Cincinnati’s starting XI on Saturday night against the Colorado Rapids.
Allan Cruz and Nick Hagglund replace Emmanuel Ledesma and Kendall Waston.
About the changes
Cruz returns to the starting lineup after missing two matches with a calf injury. In his last appearance – the 2-1 win against the Montreal Impact – the Costa Rican scored seven minutes into the match. He leads the team with two goals.
As for Hagglund, his start is his first in a month. His last appearance was the 2-0 loss at the Philadelphia Union. The center back replaces Waston, who’s suspended for yellow card accumulation.
About the bench
Darren Mattocks is available for selection after a hip injury kept him out in last week’s match against the New York Red Bulls.
Corben Bone is back on the bench after a should injury forced him to miss time. If he plays, it’ll be his first appearance since the 2-0 win at the New England Revolution on March 24. That was the fourth match this season. Tonight’s match is the 14th.
Absences
Waston will serve a one-match ban after his fifth yellow card of the season last week.
Fatai Alashe, Leo Bertone, and Kenny Saief all have hamstring injuries. Przemysław Tytoń is out with an illness. Greg Garza is out with a calf injury.
Assistant coach Pa-Modou Kah returns to the bench after missing last match because he was in Europe earning a coaching certificate.
