Interim Head Coach Yoann Damet made three changes to FC Cincinnati’s starting XI on Thursday night against New York City FC.
Corben Bone, Forrest Lasso and Emmanuel Ledesma replace Frankie Amaya, Allan Cruz and Alvas Powell in the starting lineup.
About the changes
Bone makes his first start for the Orange and Blue since the season opener at Seattle Sounders FC. Bone played last Saturday night in the 3-1 loss at the Colorado Rapids. Before that, his last appearance was the 1-0 win at the New England Revolution on March 24.
Lasso makes his first start under Damet and first since May 4 at the San Jose Earthquakes.
Before Thursday, Ledesma’s most recent start was against the New York Red Bulls on May 25.
About the bench
Tommy McCabe could make his MLS debut at Yankee Stadium. The match is his first in the FCC 18 after initially going on loan to North Carolina FC earlier this season. Dally, who was on the bench against the New York Red Bulls on May 25, is awaiting an MLS debut as well.
Leo Bertone could play for the first time since May 11, when FC Cincinnati registered a 2-1 win against the Montreal Impact at Nippert Stadium. A hamstring injury has kept him sidelined since.
Absences
Cruz, Powell, Darren Mattocks and Kendall Waston are with their respective national teams preparing for the 2019 Concacaf Gold Cup.
Greg Garza (calf), Jimmy McLaughlin (knee) and Kenny Saief (hamstring) are unavailable in The Bronx.
