Interim Head Coach Yoann Damet made five changes to the FC Cincinnati starting XI in his first game leading the Orange and Blue.
Against the Montreal Impact on Saturday afternoon, he has inserted Leo Bertone, Allan Cruz, Greg Garza, Roland Lamah and Spencer Richey into his first team sheet, while Fatai Alashe, Forrest Lasso, Kenny Saief, Caleb Stanko and Przemysław Tytoń drop out for the game.
Notable additions
After picking up a calf injury in training a few weeks ago, Garza makes his first appearance since April 7, when Cincinnati drew Sporting Kansas City 1-1 at Nippert Stadium. He missed five games with the injury.
Bertone, Cruz, Lamah and Richey all return to the lineup after not starting against the San Jose Earthquakes in last Saturday night’s 1-0 road loss. All four started at the Philadelphia Union last Wednesday night, but were cycled out for the game at San Jose four days later.
Injury update
Saief and Corben Bone are injured and didn’t make the 18. Saief has picked up a hamstring injury, while Bone continues to recover from a shoulder concern.
