During his pre-match media availability on Saturday morning, Interim Head Coach Yoann Damet said he’d make some starting lineup changes to keep freshness in the squad. On Sunday, that meant three changes ahead of FC Cincinnati’s matchup with the New England Revolution at Nippert Stadium.

About the starters

Fanendo Adi, Nick Hagglund and Caleb Stanko replace Rashawn Dally, Justin Hoyte and Emmanuel Ledesma.


For Adi, it’s his first start for the Orange and Blue since June 19 at Saint Louis FC in the 2019 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. His last MLS start was June 6 at New York City FC.


Hagglund last start was the 3-2 win against the Houston Dynamo on July 6. Stanko last started July 13 in the 2-1 win at the Chicago Fire.


About the bench

Darren Mattocks is available on the bench for the first time since June 1 at the Colorado Rapids. Mattocks had been away on international duty with Jamaica in the 2019 Concacaf Gold Cup. When he last played – May 19 at Orlando City SC – he scored.


About the absences

Fatai Alashe (hamstring), Greg Garza (calf) and Jimmy McLaughlin (knee) are all unavailable against New England.
