U.S. Women’s National Team superstar, Cincinnati native AND WORLD CUP CHAMPION Rose Lavelle will be honored in Cincinnati next Thursday and Friday, July 18 and 19.
FC Cincinnati fans at next Thursday night’s game will get the region’s first opportunity to congratulate the Queen City’s favorite star when she is recognized at halftime of the against D.C. United at Nippert Stadium. Tickets to the game are still available and start at $15 at fccincinnati.com/tickets. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m., and the night’s festivities will also include a free “Party at the Pitch” on Sheakley Lawn that starts at 5:30 p.m.
On Friday, the Cincinnati entire region is invited to the Queen City’s favorite celebration destination: Fountain Square. At noon, Cincinnati Mayor John Cranley will host a local party to honor Lavelle for her success on the field, as well as her well-documented love of her hometown.
