Three of FC Cincinnati’s four players out on loan featured for their respective USL Championship clubs this past weekend. Here’s a look at how they fared:
Rey Ortiz
Position: Winger
Club: Charlotte Independence
Result: 4-1 loss at Birmingham Legion FC, 1-1 draw against the Charleston Battery
Ortiz played two matches in four days last week – and was a halftime substitute on both occasions.
In the loss at Birmingham Legion FC, the rookie winger completed 20 passes with an 80% passing accuracy, while also providing one goal-scoring opportunity.
Four days later, he helped the Independence earn a 1-1 draw against the Charleston Battery by completing 16 passes with a 68.8% passing accuracy. He also finished with two chances created and a shot on goal.
Charlotte will face Birmingham again on Wednesday night.
Ben Lundt
Position: Goalkeeper
Club: Louisville City FC
Result: 1-1 draw against the Indy XI
Lundt played the full match in a 1-1 home draw against Indy on Saturday night. During the match, he made three saves, one clearance and also one punch.
Lundt and Lou City host the Swope Park Rangers on Wednesday night for the third time in four matches.
Hassan Ndam
Position: Defender
Club: The Miami FC
Result: 3-0 against the Tampa Bay Rowdies
Ndam made Miami’s matchday squad but didn’t play for the club in its 2020 home opener against the Rowdies. His next playing opportunity is next weekend when the clubs meet again in St. Petersburg.
Rashawn Dally
Position: Forward
Club: Las Vegas Lights FC
Result: Postponed
The match between Las Vegas and the San Diego Loyal was postponed after someone in the Lights organization tested positive for COVD-19.
