FC Cincinnati and the construction of West End Stadium was the exemplary focus in a New York Times article published on Tuesday.
Highlighting MLS’ “building boom” of soccer-specific stadiums, the piece centered around West End Stadium – FCC’s future home – and how funding from stadiums has transitioned from being publicly financed, to privately.
In the article, which also mentions stadium projects in Miami, Austin, Columbus and St. Louis, Mayor John Cranley was quoted as saying the effort to build West End Stadium is “one of the most exciting things I’ve ever done in my work.”
FCC President Jeff Berding is also quoted in the piece, which can be read here.
