Setting the Record

The 2016 patch represents the club’s historic first year playing as a team. In 2016, the team proved to the world that FC Cincinnati are a competitive team by setting multiple attendance records against top teams worldwide.

• The shape of Ohio represents our sold-out game against Crystal Palace. 35,061 came to Nippert Stadium, setting the record for the highest attendance at a soccer match in the state of Ohio.
• The original winged lion is the hero of this patch, portraying our takeover of Ohio at the time.
• The waving flag is a nod to our original kit designs, still championed by fans today.
