AUSTIN, Texas – March 11, 2019—Today, FloSports, the innovator in live digital sports and original content, announced a multi-year agreement with Major League Soccer’s (MLS) newest expansion team, FC Cincinnati, to provide live and on-demand coverage on FloFC.com for matches through the 2020 MLS season.
“We pride ourselves on being a progressive, disruptive club and we believe this partnership with FloSports is a great example of that ambition,” FC Cincinnati President & General Manager Jeff Berding said. “Our fan base has proven to be very tech-savvy. We’ve seen FCC fans become avid adopters of various over-the-top technology offerings as their media-consumption habits change. Having a nationally respected streaming partner like FloSports – who is committed to providing stellar quality and service – makes taking games on the go a much more user-friendly experience for our fans in the region.”
The agreement includes regional coverage rights for all FC Cincinnati games not being aired by any of MLS’s national broadcast partners. FloSports will also provide FC Cincinnati with additional resources to film and produce in-depth features and interviews with team personnel to show fans what daily life looks like through the lens of players and coaches.
“FloSports is proud to expand our involvement and commitment in soccer by partnering with one of the most exciting and young franchises in American sports,” FloSports Vice President of Global Rights Acquisition Mike Levy said. “FC Cincinnati has one of the most passionate fan bases in the country even before entering the MLS, and we look forward to providing their fans with more coverage both on and off the field at every opportunity.”
All games covered in this agreement will be aired live and on-demand on FloFC.com, the company’s 25th sports vertical, which is dedicated entirely to soccer content and coverage. In addition to being the home for live streamed soccer matches, FloFC will feature original FC Cincinnati programming and exclusive content, highlighted by behind-the-scenes access, preseason training coverage, and more.
“Major League Soccer, FC Cincinnati and FloSports are committed to growing the sport of soccer and delivering high-quality multi-platform content to fans,” MLS SVP of Media Seth Bacon said. “FloSports’ passion for showcasing compelling stories will provide FC Cincinnati fans a unique level of access that goes beyond the live game, while also providing a world-class viewing experience.”

About FC Cincinnati
FC Cincinnati is a professional soccer team that plays in Major League Soccer, having entered the league as its 24th team this season. The club’s ownership group is led by managing owners Carl H. Lindner III, Scott Farmer and George Joseph. MLS extended Cincinnati an expansion team in May 2019, giving the club one of the fastest run-ups to its first-division launch in league history. Originally founded in 2015 by Lindner III and current President and General Manager Jeff Berding, FCC began play in the USL in 2016. The club won the 2018 USL Regular-Season Championship in record-setting fashion, and earned postseason berths in all three of its USL seasons. In 2017, FC Cincinnati also advanced to the semifinals of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, a run that included victories over two MLS squads. The team currently plays its home games at the historic Nippert Stadium on the campus of the University of Cincinnati, and has started construction on a $250 million, privately funded soccer-specific stadium in the West End neighborhood of Cincinnati that is expected to open in early 2021. | Follow the team on social media on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook or YouTube, or visit the club’s official website: fccincinnati.com.
