CINCINNATI – FC Cincinnati will lead the Queen City’s support of the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup when the quadrennial tournament kicks off later this week.
With Cincinnati native Rose Lavelle starring in the midfield of the United States’ team – the defending World Cup champion – FCC have many activities planned to celebrate and amplify the region’s support for Team USA.
Official U.S. Watch Parties
FC Cincinnati will co-host the official FIFA Women’s World Cup watch parties in the Cincinnati area in partnership with both 3CDC and the Cincinnati chapter of the American Outlaws (AO), the official supporter’s group of U.S. Soccer.
For each of the United States’ three group-stage games and for every game in which U.S. advances in the tournament, official watch parties will be held at both Fountain Square in downtown Cincinnati with 3CDC and also at Molly Malone’s inCovington, Ky. – the official bar of the AO Cincinnati chapter.
Watch Party Schedule
- Tuesday, June 11 vs. Thailand – 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- Sunday, June 16 vs. Chile – 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Thursday, June 20 vs. Sweden – 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- All knockout-round games (if the U.S. advances)
Both locations will feature giveaways of Rose Lavelle’s official U.S. Soccer “WNT Everywhere” poster – which is a print of the permanent mural. The mural is located at 44 West Freedom Way in Cincinnati and was designed and painted by artist/muralist Jenny Roesel Ustick (Instagram: @jrustick).
Fans at both locations can also enter to win items autographed by Lavelle, including her official posters and a soccer ball.
On Fountain Square, the games will be shown on the video board above the square while food-truck options and partner drink specials will be available to fans. Soccer activities – including the popular Striker Challenge – and Ginga inflatables will be set up for fans to enjoy during the game. FCC’s mascot – Gary the Lion – will also be on hand for each game.
At Molly Malone’s, the club’s beer partners will be on hand with drink specials and giveaways. Additionally, club president Jeff Berding will also appear and watch with fans for most games.
In addition to the official watch party locations at Fountain Square and Molly Malone’s, FC Cincinnati’s Pub Partners will also show all of the U.S. games. Locations include: Rhinehaus (Cincinnati), Bucketheads (Cincinnati), Second Place (Cincinnati), House of Orange (Covington, Ky.), Bean & Barley (Cincinnati), Longnecks Sports Grille (Wilder, Ky.) and The Draft Bar & Grille (Liberty Township, Ohio).
Special Ticket Package for July 6 Game
FC Cincinnati are also offering a special ticket page with a special U.S. theme for the July 6 game against Houston. The package costs $35 each and will include one (1) lower-level reserve ticket to the game and one (1) exclusive Ruffneck red, white and blue “Ignite and Unite” scarf.
The packages will be on sale online through July 3, and will also be available at the official watch parties at Molly Malone’s and on Fountain Square, as well on July 4 at the 2019 Red White and Blue Ash Celebration in Blue Ash, Ohio, while supplies last.
FC Cincinnati return to the field on Thursday, June 6, when the team travels to face New York City FC at Yankee Stadium in The Bronx, New York. First kick is set for 7 p.m. ET, and the game will be televised live on WSTR 64, streamed on FloFC (in-region) and ESPN+ (out-of-region), carried on the radio on WDJO with an audio stream on TuneIn (WDJO) and fccincinnati.com.
FCC return to Nippert Stadium on Wednesday, June 12, when the team hosts USL Championship side Louisville City FC in the fourth round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. and the game will be streamed nationally on ESPN+. Tickets are specially priced to the club’s 2018 pricing levels as a throw-back with a USL opponent coming back to Cincinnati. After the current Season Ticket Member presale ends, tickets for the game will go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 5 at fccincinnati.com/tickets or by calling 513-977-5425 (KICK). The team’s next MLS regular-season home game is against the LA Galaxy on Saturday, June 22. Pick-Six mini plans, and individual-game tickets and group options are on sale for all remaining games.
